The Belgian company Anheuser – Busch inBev, one of the largest breweries in the world, has agreed to sell its Australian company Carlton & United Breweries to Japanese Asahi. The deal is worth 11,3 billion dollars. The company said also that it is evaluating to list the Budweiser Asia-Pacific.
The subsidiary is one of the market leaders in Australia with brands Fosters and Victoria Bitter. The stock price of Anheuser-Busch rose 4,75 % to 82,98 euros in Europe today.
