The hedge fund TCI demands companies like the global rating agency Moody´s, Alphabet and Safran S.A to set their own climate targets in order to keep with the competition. Financial Times was the first media to report of the issues.
According to the fund, companies must set ambitious, science-based emission reduction targets, the companies have to implement best practises in its sourcing of energy in buildings, processes and transportation and senior management’s compensation should be tied to these new targets. The hedge fund letter was dated on the 30th November.
